Lucy has taught my daughter(17) and myself(57) for several years now…we’re very fond of her…she’s a great teacher and a lovely person.

Lucy’s very organised and her lessons are always well thought out…she thinks of creative exercises that although could  be working towards the same aim are all varied and fun. She is always willing to adapt to one’s own preferences and needs and is very good at organising different venues for my daughter to ride her pony i.e cross-country courses/show jumping practice etc which provides variety and adds to her experience and enthusiasm!

Lucy has a gentle manner and is always cheerful and interested in what we’re up to and very helpful with advice on our pony if ever we need it.

She is great with all ages and a good confidence builder!

All in all we’re lucky to have found her as our teacher!

I moved my pony Jack to a new yard recently and met Lucy - so lucky. I am amazed at the progress that Lucy has made with us in a few months.  I think that Jack is now beginning to understand and enjoy flat work and has started to carry himself correctly (previously a very fast trot around the school was his idea of getting through flat work!).

Jack has always liked jumping and a quick 'motorbike' turn to the fence was his style.  Under Lucy's instructions we are now managing balanced canters around the corners so that the approach to the fence is much calmer and he is taking it in his stride rather than taking a stride out and causing exclamations from me as he took off early.

Lucy schools Jack on a regular basis which helps so much when I ride him, which is another challenge for Lucy as she is teaching me to adjust my riding style to help Jack use himself correctly and produce a much smoother ride.  Lucy recently lunged Jack in a passoa (1st time in his 11 years). Jack soon got used to the kit and achieved some really great work.

Lucy pushes Jack and I to achieve different things in a very calm manner, interspersed with lots of fun and laughter

Thank you Lucy from Sue and Jack
